This is a new feature of the blog where we give you tips and hints to make the most of 911Tutorials.
The first tip we’ll be sharing with you is how to view sub-categories for a specific topic. We thought that this might not be so obvious so was worth a mention.
If you view a specific topic, for example “Photoshop”, you will notice that any Photoshop related tutorials are listed on that page. However what if you specifically wanted drawing related Photoshop tutorials? In this case you can click on the “Sub-Categories” text (shown below) to open up the available sub-categories. Here you can select a specific subject area of interest.

Please note that the numbers represents the number of tutorials we currently have for that specific subject area.
Hope that helps!
We have now completed the save feature. As mentioned in the previous post you can now add/remove tutorials from your favorites so you won’t lose them ever again!
If you go into your user control panel, you will notice that there is now a link to your favorites page. This is where all your saved tutorials will appear.
We hope this feature makes this site more useful.
We have just added the ability for members to save tutorials to their favorites. This means that if you find a tutorial you really like, you can save it so you can easily find it again in the future! You can save the tutorial when viewing it by clicking on the “Add to Favorites” link in the header section!

We’re now working on adding a section in the user control panel where you can view your saved tutorials - hopefully this will be added within the next 24 hours.
We just added the page feature - by this we mean the ability to view different pages from a specific section. For example up until now we showed all the Photoshop related tutorials on one page, but now we have split them up into pages with 10 tutorials on each page.
We also added a few tutorials so please check them out!
Since the launch of the site, we have been mainly concentrating on adding Photoshop tutorials. This is because we feel that this is the topic that is most demanded, however if you would like us to start adding more tutorials on another topic please let us know by registering on this blog and posting a comment. It will help us a lot in finding out what our visitors want!
Just another quick post to let you know of the features we’re currently working on:
- More Tutorials!!! - This site is still new so we are working on contacting more tutorial authors to ask them to post their tutorials. We are also adding tutorials ourselves on a daily basis to help get the ball rolling.
- Comments - This will allow registered members to post their comments on tutorials.
- Search - The search is already functional but the algorithm needs to be improved to provide better results.
- Profile Pages - We plan on adding profile pages for each of our members. This way if you find an exceptional tutorial you can view other ones posted by the same user.
- Toolbar - We currently have a 911Tutorials Toolbar but there is still plenty of room for development! An example of a feature we’re working on is the ability to view random tutorials for topics specified by you.
These are plans and current developments so please be patient as we work on them.
Today we see the launch of our blog! This has been created to allow communication between you, our visitors, and us, the creators of 911Tutorials.com
And before you start criticizing the design, yes it’s simple and boring! We’ll be changing the theme of the blog sometime in the near future so it looks nicer.
Anyway let me tell you what our aim at 911Tutorials is.
911Tutorials aims to provide various links to quality tutorials on the internet. These tutorials will range from popular 2D image manipulation software such as Adobe Photoshop, to programming languages like PHP and HTML.
Registration is VERY quick and easy and allows you to:
- Submit new tutorials.
- Rate tutorials.
- Express your views by commenting on tutorials (a feature to be added soon!)
To get the ball rolling, the staff here at 911Tutorials will be adding tutorials on a daily basis. We have also contacted a few authors of tutorials to try and encourage them to post links to their latest tutorials on 911Tutorials.
Anyway that’s about it for our first post! We hope you find this site useful and will come back regularly - we will try our best to make this site a success
